GospelFest Oakland’s signature event is a one-day cultural and wellness festival — a growing movement for civic joy, cultural belonging, and community healing — taking place in Oakland on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12 PM to 8 PM.

Rooted in Oakland’s rich gospel tradition, the festival brings together some of the most celebrated voices in gospel today alongside rising talent for a powerful day of music, prayer, praise, and connection. In a time when hope can feel hard to hold, GospelFest offers music as medicine and fellowship as fuel.

Open to families, people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs, GospelFest invites the entire community to raise their voices, their spirits, and each other. While this year’s event is a milestone, it’s also part of a larger vision — annual events, year-round cultural programming, and long-term investment in The Town’s vibrant, diverse civic and creative ecosystems.

General Admission – Open seating (first-come, first-served) with access to all performances, the Vendor Village, and wellness activities. Children under 10 are free but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times (limit of 2 children per adult).

VIP Reserved Seating Experience – Assigned seats in premium rows, priority entry, and all festival access. Enjoy exclusive perks such as VIP-only lounge seating and premium hospitality. Every attendee, regardless of age, must have a paid ticket.
